Our walking tour was a great introduction to Oaxaca. Carlos is very familiar with the history of the area and the culture. The group was fairly large and he kept us all together and engaged. We visited many interesting places and got several good tips for our time in Oaxaca, we highly recommend Carlos and the Oaxaca walking tour.
Dulce, was absolutely amazing. I chose the Spanish tour to get more insight into a local's perspective, and she definitely covered it. We were a tiny group compared to the English group, but she kept us entertained with childhood stories, a bit of history, and great discussions among the 3 of us. Probably one of the best tours I've had so far in Mexico, and I was really lucky to be guided by someone so passionate about her roots and culture.
We had a great informative walking tour through Oaxaca on our first day in the afternoon. Djan brought us to authentic local places and knew as well a lot about the history of everything. The cocoa tasting was my favourite as well as the visit of a small family business where the owner is waving since he is 6 years old. Support the locals! I like that attitude. Thank you very much Djan for your enthusiasm.

We had a wonderful time on this tour! We had Julio, who is just so knowledgeable, informative and fun to hang out with! He actually spent a little longer with us on this tour then originally planned. And gave us excellent tips on where to eat and spend our time throughout the week. I definitely recommend.

A “MUST” TOUR Julio brings amazing personal experience of the local area, deep knowledge of cool historical facts, and the ability to communicate (listen and speak) in a manner that makes this tour a must in your list. The 2 hours flew by and I’m so glad I took the time to experience this educational tour.

This was the best free walking tour we have done! Carlos what such a great tour guide, even though we were just 3 people, the tour took longer than the estimated 2 hours because he took the time to really show us around, answer the (it felt like) thousands of questions we had and really gave us great recommendations. We enjoyed every single minute and really can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you Carlos for this amazing tour!

El tour que hicimos en la mañana del jueves 13 únicamente fuimos 4 componentes de una misma familia y Rubén, el guía que nos acompañó durante el tour, fue impecable.
El recorrido por la ciudad de Oaxaca no se limitó a la ciudad en sí, sino que incorporó un marco sociopolítico que ayudó a enmarcar y entender un contexto que para nosotras era complejo. Se adaptó a nuestras demandas, hizo distintas propuestas y recomendaciones locales, y contestó a nuestras inquietudes de una manera respetuosa y al detalle.

We had such a great experience doing this tour. Carlos was so informative and happy to answer any questions we had. He was also kind enough to point out some great vegan/vegetarian friendly spots to eat when he found out I am vegetarian, which I really appreciated! I would really recommend doing this tour.
La verdad pensé no se realizaría porque solo llegué yo,pero la guía muy profesional partimos al free tour, ya posteriormente se unió una chica a medio tour y la dejó ingresar.recomendado si visitan Oaxaca, sirve como primera entrada a la ciudad.

We had an amazing tour yesterday. Our guide showed us around the city of Oaxaca with many interesting stories and facts about the history. He also recommended us where we can eat local food, go to bars and which museums to visit which was highly helpful.
Uno de los mejores free tours que hemos hecho. Tuvimos la gran suerte de tener a Katia de guía. Sus explicaciones fueron inmejorables y sus recomendaciones excelentes (ella es de la misma ciudad de Oaxaca). Gracias a ella descubrimos restaurantes buenísimos y rincones de la ciudad que sin sus consejos no hubiéramos descubierto.
I cannot believe this is Carlos’ third tour, it was incredible! I had the honor of being the only person on the tour and he still showed up! Other companies I’ve used would wither cancel the tour without warning or Id have to join the Spanish tour and hope to catch most of the words. The insights Carlos gave me were incredible and we stopped in several random places to answer my questions. Oaxaca is a beautiful city and even more beautiful through this tour. Thank you Carlos!
